At An Baile Rua, the red farm, is where Simon Neville has been cultivating for around forty years. Located five miles north of the town of Wexford - a stone's throw from the Blackwater - his lands are situated on Seafield - its sandy and rugged texture makes it a challenging terroir in dry years, resulting in a more fruity and floral spirit.
NOSE: A blooming summer garden, marzipan, honey, heather, dry clay, rhubarb, fennel, orange zest, barley, sherry, and rosewater.
PALATE: White pepper, sorbet, orange marmalade, dark chocolate, sticky rhubarb compote, sparkling cherry cola, fresh bread, bell peppers, and clove candies.
FINISH: A finish that seems not to end, with a spiciness of dark chocolate and orange.
