Indian Single Malt Whisky (46% 70cl)
TheAmrut Fusion – 50 % is a Single Malt made from a blend of two batches from the Indian distillery Amrut. The first comes from barley malted at the foot of the Himalayas, while the second is made from Scottish barley malt dried with peat smoke. Each is aged separately for four years under the almost tropical climate of Bangalore. Located at 915 metres above sea level, the distillery experiences high temperatures that significantly accelerate maturation, with an angel's share that can reach 16 % per year. Amrut Fusion is rich in flavours, very smooth and moderately peaty. It received 97/100 in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible and was designated the 3rd best whisky in the world.
