Indian Single Malt Whisky (46% 50cl)
TheAmrut Bagheera – 46 % is an Indian Single Malt whose name means “black panther” in Hindi. It is made from 99 % unpeated malted barley and 1 % peated malted barley, with a finish in Sherry casks. Its profile combines fresh and dried fruits with notes of peat and smoke. Initially offered only in a 70 cl gift pack, it later transitioned to a permanent 50 cl version.
NOSE : Very complex, the first nose is marked by dried fruits, notably walnut and almond, as well as caramel. With aeration, vanilla pod and more caramel appear, complementing the aromas of peat and smoke.
PALATE : Remarkably fruity with orange, apricot, and peach. The attack also reveals dried fruits like chestnut and sweet chestnut. The texture is reminiscent of taffeta and the mid-palate unveils delicious caramel flavours.
FINISH : Very long and deliciously vanilla, with increasingly thick smoke swirls at the end of the palate.
