Ben Nevis 10 Years
Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky (46% 70cl)
It all begins with the rain or snow falling on the highest mountain in Scotland - the BEN NEVIS. It percolates through the thin layer of peat until it reaches the granite rock. Unable to penetrate it, it flows beneath the surface until it emerges in the Coire Leish or the Coire na Ciste.
The streams from these two mountain lochs, located well above 3000 meters above sea level, find their way along the blue and pink granite of the rugged north face of the mountain until they join to form the Allt a Mhullin, continuing into the valley between Ben Nevis and Carn Mor Dearg. For the last 750 meters, this water is channeled underground to the back of the Ben Nevis distillery, where the dedicated team works tirelessly to transform this pure, clear water into crystal-clear Ben Nevis malt spirit. A maturation period of around ten years in oak casks stored in the warehouses nestled at the foot of the mountain is required to create this work of art.
Each small bottle of BEN NEVIS 10 years old is made up of 54% of this water. The rest is whisky! A story to follow.
